Welcome to The Family Forest

     Hello, my name is Suzanne Elise (Holloway) Davis.  This project started because I like history and I wanted to verify one of a couple of rumors my mother had told me about her family.  She had told me that we were related to Abraham Lincoln, but she wasn't sure exactly how. Something about his son marrying a daughter or somesuch.

     Now for someone who enjoys history, this could be considered a challenge.  And I took it as such!  Lucky for me my  mother's mother is still alive (both my Grandmothers are) and had a fair amount of information.  Plus! She had the answer to my puzzle!  But, the bug had bitten me REALLY Hard (Ouch!) and I couldn't stop. So I continue to this day, pestering relatives to fill in the holes. Keeping track of this that and the other thing. A few new found relatives have taken pity on me and have shared their findings too.  For this kindness (or is it aiding and abetting an addict?) I wish to say thank you.

     My Mother is/(was?) a Harlan and my Father is a Holloway.  My husband is a Davis.  So it looks like I'm working on three different fronts here.  (When I get stuck, I go to a different tree.)  Now you see why I call it a forest.  =)  I'm trying to gather all of the information that I can on all of the various families connected with mine.  (Yes, this includes Grandpa's sister's son's son's daughter's kids type thing )  Kind of fun seeing how many people your really related to.  But, I'm babbling on here.  Oh, one more thing...............
